Providence Wood Bench was a piece of furniture we made about a year and a half ago, this piece is a little bit heavy since is made of pure wood and yet it cost around $22 to make..

Being frugal and on a budget we started to look for furniture that is a reasonable price without compromising on how cute it will look.  I did try searching flea markets, online sale sites and yard sale but I couldnt find any cute furniture pieces that we can upcycle or just paint to make it work for us.  So, instead we found another solution and that was making our own furniture with the help of Ana White step by step tutorial.

We were skeptical at first since we dont know much about building, measuring and cutting our own wood to make a piece work, but she makes it so simple and detail which was perfect for us and since then we have build a few other items as well.

Well since we just moved a few weeks ago, we went from a big house to a more comfortable smaller place, the furniture we had at our own place now looks so much different in a cozier house. I want to share with you how this bench was perfect at the master suite but now it looks better right at our  new living room space.

Cut List:

A)  2 – 2×4 @ 14”
B)  4 – 2×4 @ 15 1/4″ – both ends beveled at 10 degrees off square, ends ARE parallel
C)  2 – 2×4 @ 12 1/2″ – long point to long point, both ends cut at 10 degrees off square, NOT parallel
D)  1 – 2×4 @ 34”
F)  1 – 2×4 @ 38”
G)  2 – 2×4 @ 13 3/8” (both ends cut at 45 degrees off square, ends ARE parallel)
H) 4 – 2×4 @ 54”

Another project we did was the Wood Tilt Out Trash, this furniture is a favorite when visitors come to our house and if you click the image the full post will come up.
